About OPPAt Ojuri Psychology Practices, I am able to provide a collaborative approach that seeks to help one define and acknowledge their own value and self worth. I consider myself a guide in many ways. My interventions are rooted in identifying, developing , and maintaining effective thoughts and behaviors that lead to a more satisfying life. I empower my clients to develop coping skills that will soothe difficult or painful emotions rather than pushing them away. Additionally, I may aid clients in increasing competency and seeking internal change rather than relying on system or structural change.
As a clinical psychologist I am qualified to care for individuals who may be facing life stressors, or who may be facing painful or severe psychiatric symptoms. Part of my work as a clinical psychologist is to administer and interpret psychological assessments, provide clinical intervention through psychotherapy practices, provide diagnoses and or diagnoses counseling. My Training I began my education in general psychology at Saint Mary's College of California, a small liberal arts college near by. Thereafter, I completed my doctoral degree in clinical psychology at John F. Kennedy University. Much of my training and practice has been with a multiculturally diverse group ranging from older teens to older adults. I've practice and trained in public psychiatric and private medical settings, including Kaiser Permanente and Fremont Hospital; community mental health centers; and residential treatment facilities. I've spent much of my time teaching and training undergraduate and graduate students in the philosophy and practice of clinical psychology since 2011. Most of my research has been rooted in understanding the experiences of people who identify with marginalized groups. |

Concierge Psychology Services
What are concierge services?
OPP believes that offering concierge services helps to further meet the needs of our clients on a level that is rarely offered in this field. Life does not have to be business as usual. Offering concierge services means meeting you where you are at—whether it be interacting in the comfort of your own home or utilizing advanced technology (i.e., Skype, etc) to best meet your needs.
What are the benefits?
Whether you have a busy traveling schedule, have mobility issues, or need extra privacy, it is still possible for you to receive psychotherapy services. No matter the current life circumstances creating barriers to you receiving traditional in-office psychotherapy treatment, Dr. Oshi-Ojuri can offer a confidential, safe, and fruitful plan for you to receive the support you desire.
You might have experienced finding a provider in the past who's schedule has become easily very full, most especially during convenient and popular times; you may have even put your own care to the side because of the struggle to fit "you" it into your schedule. For some people, they may find it refreshing to take advantage of extended hours and weekend appointment times. Some might even find that by taking care of themselves more explicitly, they become more equipped to meet the needs of their own families or loved ones. In most cases, there may be opportunities for same day appointments.
Additional benefits to private care services include the elimination of waiting rooms and insurance records; this increases the level of privacy for anyone. Dr. Oshi-Ojuri is a licensed clinical psychologist with experience practicing in various multidisciplinary psychiatric teams. Dr. Oshi-Ojuri will directly interact with your other concierge medical providers as needed to contribute to a comprehensive treatment plan that promotes well being and your highest potential.
Existential benefits to utilizing these services include the promotion of increased comfort in treatment, thus increasing the likelihood of commitment to well-being. By providing care in various settings, the process of treatment is humanize, and the practitioner-patient relationship may be more easily translated in the various settings in your life that matter; hopefully rendering increased psychological flexibility for you.
Rates are dependent on treatment modality, plan, and needs.
Concierge mental health treatment may not be a fit for everyone. Please inquire directly for more information on qualifications.
